I will be the very first person to say, “Holy man, Molly! That’s a lot of photos!” Welp, when you mix the nostalgic and humble Camp Wandawega with AJ + Taylor, magic is bound to happen (and way too many gorgeous photos are going to be taken!) I have been following Camp Wandawega on social media since I started this gig (you should too!) and knew that someday, I needed to to visit. It is located in Elkhorn, right in our lovely state and frankly, is a hidden gem. They open their doors to campers, to events (Mod Cloth recently made a visit!) they are one of Wisconsin’s most loved wedding venues. They have graciously opened their doors for myself, AJ and Taylor and we could not be more thankful for their awesome staff – high fives to Justin + Abbie! – and the ultimate summer experience.

The overall goal for this session was to firstly, celebrate love and the engagement of this amazing duo, and secondly, to seriously have a blast. AJ and Taylor have made North Carolina their home over the past few years and is the place where AJ is chasing dreams (and did the impossible of turning our hometown into Carolina Panther fans) and where he met his love, the sweet, athletic, smart, most genuine soul! With them back in Wisco for a few weeks, we thought it was only appropriate to go all out Summer in Wisconsin for their photo shoot, one equipped with life at the lake, tire swings, campfires + s’mores, cabins, beer, naps in hammocks, bare feet, bike rides and sweet summer love… and I’m just going to go ahead and say that they nailed it.  I read somewhere that love is friendship caught on fire, and I don’t think that quote could be more true for these two. They laugh hard, they play hard, they battle at the end of a dock, push each other in the water and kiss afterwards. Their love is exciting and comfortable, hilarious, happy and thoughtful. All things one hopes for when choosing a lifetime partner in crime.

I am so excited that I could be part of your story and wish you two a lifetime of days spent on the lake and laughing ’til your face hurts!
