Drum Roll Please

Can I get a drum roll please…

We MOVED! Yes, it sure has taken a lot to get me to the point where I can say that I have officially moved. Me, a homebody who loves to travel and loves living with my mom (and roomie!) in our tiny town. You see, Sam was offered an amazing job opportunity in Madison, something that he so deserved, desired and needed in order to move forward with his career. For him, it was a no-brainer and this move was something he didn’t think twice about, he wanted it and was ready to embrace the change.

I can’t help but laugh at this situation. In my own mind, I always wanted to move. Not to go away forever, but to go away for awhile. I am a huge believer in embracing new opportunities, seeing the world, living as much as possible and experiencing something new everyday. When it was confirmed that he was offered this new job, I reacted the complete opposite of how I ever thought I would react… seriously, I was a mess. As excited as I was for him, I knew that we would have to work through a long distance relationship (and after 3.5 years of dating, that did not seem like a step in the right direction!) or I would have to leave a life so comfortable and commute home for weekend weddings. Really, I was looking at it all wrong. This is a chance for a new adventure, a chance to meet new people and do something that scares me. It is a chance to grow, a chance to be inspired.

How will this affect Molly Jo Collection? It will only make this little business more successful. I will be back home all the time to see family, friends and to take photos for my amazing clients. Transitioning to a new place will force me to see things differently and to work even harder. I am excited and I can’t wait for new projects. Great things come from leaving your comfit zone, and I’ve got a lot of new dreams and hopes for MJC already. Change is inevitable, it’s how we embrace it that makes all the difference!

Oh and P.S… prepare yourselves for some apartment findings and decor as we make this new space our own!
